Welcome to the Conservancy
Riding the trails at Millican Reserve is more than just a workout—it’s a way to experience the land in motion. The private trail system offers a mix of winding paths, open stretches, and natural terrain that challenge and inspire riders of all levels. Each ride strengthens not just the body, but the connection between people and the land. As part of the Conservancy’s mission, these trails are maintained to balance recreation with conservation, ensuring they remain a resource for both adventure and preservation.
Access to the biking trails at Millican Reserve is designed to support both recreation and conservation. These private trails, built for a range of skill levels, are available to Conservancy Members and TrailPass holders, ensuring that those who ride also help protect and maintain the land. For those looking to experience the trails as part of a group, guided rides and organized biking events are scheduled throughout the year and can be found on the community calendar. Every ride is an opportunity to move your body, clear your mind, and connect with the landscape in a meaningful way.
Use the Farm Entrance to Millican Reserve at 19851 FM 2154. Follow signs down the gravel road to Basecamp. The large grass field to your left is available for parking. Do not proceed past the Farm Gate, even if it's open. Please to not park in the open fields next to the Market.
Millican Reserve’s trails are open daily from sun up until sundown. Trails are closed during and immediately after periods of rain. Riding muddy trails leaves ruts, contributes to erosion and creates and unrideable, hard-to-repair trail surface. The trails temporarily close for marathons and other racing events throughout the year.
All trail users must be Conservancy Members, TrailPass holders, or purchase a DayPass. Minors listed under a parent’s Membership or TrailPass do not need their own pass.
All trails are accessible from the Farm Entrance at 19851 FM 2154. The trailhead for Prescott Trail & Traveler's way is located at the edge of Basecamp Parking. The trailhead for the biking trails is just past the Farm on the gravel road. You will need to walk or bike past the gate to access this trailhead. You may not drive beyond the Farm Gate.
Trail maps are available on Trailforks. PDF maps are also available in your account dashboard after registering.
Millican Reserve is home to 30 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. Observe all posted trail signs and never leave the marked trail system.
The Conservancy works closely with its community partners, like the Brazos Valley Mountain Bike Association, to build and maintain the healthiest private trails in the region. Dues from Conservancy members help support the maintenance of this remarkable resource.
Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons, it is never recommended to venture onto the trails alone.
