The only time you may drive beyond the Farm Gate is to attend an event being hosted at the Boathouse,either private party or Conservancy hosted, or if you are a homeowner. Trail parking is located in the grass field just before the Farm. Please be respectful of private events and do not enter venue space, including Lake Prescott, without an invitation or appointment.
There are many sites perfect for a romantic proposal, including The Grove and the dock at The Boathouse. Proposals and engagement photo sessions must be scheduled in advance. Please email us at events@millicanreserve.com for more information.
Schedule permitting, we typically allow for an additional 30 minute visit closer to your event date for clients to have a second look if needed. Please note that Millican Reserve does not provide event planning services.

You may cancel your Event by giving Millican Reserve written notice at least three days prior to the Event date. Any payments that have made to Millican Reserve on or before the cancellation date are non-refundable.
You are responsible for returning the venue to its original condition to avoid extra charges. You should expect to sweep or mop, wipe down table tops, and take all trash to the dumpster. Cleaning products are provided.
Two spacious private restrooms are available and may also be used as changing areas.
The Boathouse has 1,055 sq ft (19' x 48') of air conditioned space, with a 19' x 16' partially covered deck and 90' walking pier. The Boathouse can be divided into two separate rooms by closing the large folding doors.
Complimentary tours are available by appointment only. Tours can typically be scheduled during regular business hours. Email events@millicanreserve.com or fill out the online form to request a tour.
Your hours of accessibility are listed in your contract. Please plan accordingly and be efficient with the use of your time.
Millican Reserve revolves around building a healthy community. Ask about hiking, nature activities, wildlife education, fishing, farm tours, team-building and professional facilitation.
We require a non-refundable down payment of 50% of the total rental fee plus a $500 security deposit. The security deposit is returned within a timely manner after your event less any damages.
The Boathouse provides indoor seating for 72 guests. Outdoor areas may be used to host additional guests. Total venue capacity is 120 guests.
There are two main gravel parking areas near the Boathouse that can hold up to 75 vehicles. Additional grass parking is available near the Grove.
A signed contract and non-refundable down payment of 50% of total venue fees are required to reserve a date. We can not hold dates without a signed contract.
Absolutely! Central air and heat are provided. You are welcome set the thermostat at whatever temperature is comfortable for your group for the duration of your rental. Please reset the thermostat upon leaving.

All venues at Millican Reserve are available for rental by any individual or group. Homeowners may be eligible for discounted rental rates.
Millican Reserve has an open vendor policy. We do have a list of vendors that we recommend, but you are more than welcome to choose a vendor not on our list. All vendors must be approved and have adequate insurance and licensing.
Security for events serving alcohol or having over 100 guests is the only exception. You must use BadgeHire for security.
All alcohol must be served by a TABC licensed and insured bartender. Security is required and must be present 30 minutes before alcohol is served until 30 minutes after the bar closes. Full rules can be found in our contract under the Alcoholic Beverages Rider.
