Welcome to the Conservancy
Riding at Millican Reserve offers a chance to develop skill, confidence, and a deeper connection to the land. Guided lessons focus on horsemanship, balance, and technique, helping riders build strong relationships with their horses. The private trail system provides a scenic backdrop for exploration, reinforcing the bond between rider and landscape. Every ride reflects the Conservancy’s commitment to responsible land stewardship, ensuring that both the horses and the land are cared for with intention and respect.
Exploring the land on horseback is one of the best ways to experience the beauty of Millican Reserve. The private equestrian trails are open to Conservancy Members and TrailPass holders, ensuring that those who ride also help protect and maintain the landscape. Horse boarding and riding lessons provide additional opportunities to deepen your connection to horsemanship and the outdoors. Organized trail rides and equestrian events are scheduled throughout the year and can be found on the community calendar. However you ride, every experience supports a healthier partnership between people, horses, and the land.
Use the Farm Entrance to Millican Reserve at 19851 FM 2154. Follow signs down the gravel road to Basecamp. The large grass field to your left is available for parking. Do not proceed past the Farm Gate, even if it's open. Please to not park in the open fields next to the Market.
Millican Reserve’s trails are open daily from sun up until sundown. Trails are closed during and immediately after periods of rain. Riding muddy trails leaves ruts, contributes to erosion and creates and unrideable, hard-to-repair trail surface. The trails temporarily close for marathons and other racing events throughout the year.
The horse trails are accessible from the Farm Entrance at 19851 FM 2154. There is plenty of trailer parking in the fields at Basecamp. Trail access is limited to residents, Conservancy Members, TrailPass holders and DayPass holders.
Prior to bringing any horses to Millican Reserve, you must email proof of negative coggins to stables@millicanreserve.com. You must notify the Stables in advance before visiting. Check weather and trail conditions before you haul. Wet trails should not be ridden.
Trail maps are available on Trailforks. PDF maps are also available in your account dashboard after registering.
