Welcome to the Conservancy
Millican Reserve’s private trails wind through hundreds of acres of woods, prairie, and creeks — a place to explore on foot, bike, or horseback. The trail system is privately maintained and protected by the Conservancy to ensure a safe and sustainable experience for the entire community.
To help fund this stewardship, all non-members must purchase a TrailPass. Options are available for day use, monthly access, or year-round entry, with proceeds going toward trail care, land management, and conservation programs.
Trail access is by pass only
The private trail system at Millican Reserve is open year-round, weather permitting, but access is limited to Conservancy members and TrailPass holders. Whether you’re walking, hiking, biking, or riding horseback, a valid pass is required before using the trail system.
Passes help ensure that the trails remain safe, cared for, and open to the public in a sustainable way. They also help us monitor usage and protect sensitive areas of the land. You don’t need to schedule your visit in advance — just purchase a pass before you arrive and enjoy the land on your own time. Trail maps and guidelines are provided with your confirmation.
A simple way to enjoy the trails for a single visit. Day Passes are valid from the time of purchase until sunset on the same day. Perfect for visitors or those looking to try out the trail system before committing to a longer pass. No reservation needed — just purchase and go.
DayPass: $5/Day
This monthly pass is ideal for individuals who enjoy regular time outdoors. It covers one adult and up to six minors in the same household, providing unlimited trail access for 30 days. The pass auto-renews each month but can be canceled at any time.
Individual TrailPass: $10/Month
The best value for families, the Family TrailPass includes access for up to four adults and six minors in the same household. It renews automatically each month and can be canceled at any time. This option offers flexibility and value for families who want to spend more time together outside.
Family TrailPass: $20/Month
Children 5 and under do not need a TrailPass, but must be accompanied by an adult. A TrailPass does not confer Member benefits.
To help protect the land and keep the trails enjoyable for everyone, all users must follow the Trail Rules, including:
Use the Farm Entrance to Millican Reserve at 19851 FM 2154. Follow signs down the gravel road to Basecamp. The large grass field to your left is available for parking. Do not proceed past the Farm Gate, even if it's open. Please to not park in the open fields next to the Market.
There are 30 miles of interconnecting trails at Millican Reserve. We have trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders.
Millican Reserve’s trails are open daily from sun up until sundown. Trails are closed during and immediately after periods of rain. Riding muddy trails leaves ruts, contributes to erosion and creates and unrideable, hard-to-repair trail surface. The trails temporarily close for marathons and other racing events throughout the year.

The Conservancy works closely with its community partners, like the Brazos Valley Mountain Bike Association, to build and maintain the healthiest private trails in the region. Dues from Conservancy members help support the maintenance of this remarkable resource.
Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons, it is never recommended to venture onto the trails alone.
