Overview
The Millican Reserve Land Conservancy stewards a broad expanse of protected land and offers year-round programming that brings people together outdoors. Guided by the belief that time in nature supports both individual and community health, this is where our mission takes root.
The Land
Prairies, woodlands, and riparian corridors form the living foundation of Millican Reserve. Through conservation practices and long-term stewardship of this section of Post Oak Savannah, our landscape remains open, active, and healthy.
The Wildlife
Native species thrive at Millican Reserve—from migrating birds to whitetail deer to pollinators and prairie grasses. Learn how our team monitors and protects the region’s biodiversity.
The Trails
More than 30 miles of natural-surface private trails wind through protected habitats, connecting people to the land and each other. Open to hikers, runners, bikers, and equestrians with a TrailPass or Conservancy membership.
Agriculture
The Farm & Gardens
The Farm is both a working agricultural operation and a community gathering place. Seasonal produce, educational gardens, and volunteer programs bring people closer to the food—and the land—that sustains them.
The Stables
Located at the heart of the Reserve, the Stables support horse boarding, lessons, and trail access. Riders of all levels are welcome, with programs that connect people to the land on horseback.
The Boathouse
The Boathouse is a quiet destination for paddling, birdwatching, and seasonal events. From early-morning mist to sunset reflections, it’s a private space to experience the stillness and beauty of the water.

Calendar of Activities
Whether you're here to hike, garden, volunteer, or participate in a seasonal event, the Conservancy offers many ways to connect with the land. These experiences are designed to foster community health through hands-on engagement with nature. Explore what’s happening this month.
Walking, Hiking & Running
Miles of scenic, natural-surface trails offer space for movement and reflection. Whether you walk weekly or run daily, the private trails invite you to slow down, move with intention, and experience the land.
Biking the Trails
Cyclists are welcome on much of the private trail system, with routes suited to both casual riders and experienced mountain bikers. A TrailPass or Conservancy membership is required for access.

Get Your Trailpass

GET YOUR TRAILPASS

TrailPasses are required for all non-members who plan to use the trail system at Millican Reserve. Your pass helps fund trail maintenance, land stewardship, and public access.

Please complete the form below to purchase a Day, Individual, or Family TrailPass. Passes auto-renew monthly (except DayPass) and can be canceled at any time. You’ll receive a confirmation email with trail guidelines and a link to the current trail map once your form has been processed.

The Conservancy offers three levels of TrailPass.

CONSERVANCY DAYPASS

Perfect for a one-time visit. This $5 pass grants access for a single participant (adult or minor) and is valid until sunset on the day of purchase. Does not auto-renew. $5 / day

Conservancy Individual Trailpass

Ideal for solo trail users or adults with children. Covers one adult and up to six minors in a household for $10/month. Pass auto-renews but can be canceled at any time. $10 / month

Conservancy Family Trailpass

Best for households who frequent the trails together. Includes access for up to four adults and six minors in a household for $20/month. Auto-renews monthly and can be canceled at any time. $30 / month
