Walking, hiking & running

Time on the trails is time well spent—moving, breathing fresh air, and reconnecting with the natural world. The private trail system at Millican Reserve winds through the post oak savannah, offering space for quiet reflection or an active hike across changing terrain. Every trail is designed to preserve the landscape while providing a place for people to experience the benefits of time outdoors. Walking, hiking, and running here aren’t just about the miles covered—they’re about supporting a healthier, more connected way of life.

Access to the trails at Millican Reserve is designed to support both conservation and community wellness. The private trail system is open to Conservancy Members and TrailPass holders, ensuring that those who use the land are also helping to protect it. For those looking to experience the trails in a more structured way, guided hikes, trail runs, and other organized activities are offered throughout the year and can be found on the community calendar.

Whether exploring solo or joining a group, time on the trails is an investment in both personal well-being and the health of the land.

Use the Farm Entrance to Millican Reserve at 19851 FM 2154. Follow signs down the gravel road to Basecamp. The large grass field to your left is available for parking. Do not proceed past the Farm Gate, even if it's open. Please to not park in the open fields next to the Market.

When are the trails open?

When are the trails open?

Millican Reserve’s trails are open daily from sun up until sundown. Trails are closed during and immediately after periods of rain. Riding muddy trails leaves ruts, contributes to erosion and creates and unrideable, hard-to-repair trail surface. The trails temporarily close for marathons and other racing events throughout the year.
