Dive into the wonders of Millican Reserve’s aquatic ecosystems during our Lake Explorer Hike!
Join us for a free, family-friendly guided hike along Prescott Trail, beginning at Basecamp, with educational stops at Horseshoe Pond and Lake Prescott. Along the way, the Outdoor Coordinator will highlight the diverse wildlife, plant life, and natural features that make Millican’s pond and lake habitats so special.
Participants will learn about the importance of healthy aquatic ecosystems, spot local bird and amphibian species, and explore how water supports life throughout the reserve. This interactive hike is perfect for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the connections between land and water.
Please bring water, wear closed-toed shoes, and be prepared for moderate walking along natural terrain. Binoculars are encouraged!
