Sounds of the Night: Night Hike

Experience Millican Reserve after dark on our Sounds of the Night: Night Hike! Join us for a guided evening adventure along Prescott Trail, where we’ll explore the sounds, sights, and mysteries of the nighttime world.  Led by our Outdoor Coordinator, this hike invites participants to slow down and tune in to nature’s nocturnal chorus — the songs of frogs and crickets, the flutter of bats, and the subtle rustle of nighttime wildlife. Along the way, we’ll discuss the adaptations that allow animals to thrive after sunset and how nighttime plays a vital role in the ecosystem at Millican.  A limited number of headlamps will be available for participants, but guests are encouraged to bring their own red-light headlamps only, to help preserve night vision and minimize disturbance to wildlife.  This family-friendly hike offers a peaceful and educational way to experience Millican Reserve under the stars.  Parking Please use the Farm Entrance to Millican Reserve (19851 FM 2154). Designated parking is at the Basecamp grassy area. You MAY NOT PROCEED past the Farm area in your vehicle.  All outdoor events are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Registered attendees will be notified via email in the event of a cancellation. If you have questions or need assistance, please email info@millicanreserve.com.
